Angelo Tijssens

Angelo Tijssens is a Belgian writer and screenwriter. Together with Lukas Dhont he co-wrote the acclaimed films Close (2022)[1] and Girl (2018)[2]. With Cato Kusters he co-wrote the film Julian (2025)[3]. He is married to Nick Mattan and lives in Antwerp.[4]
Tijssens’s debut as a fiction writer, The Edges, was published in 2025 and translated by Michele Hutchison.[5]
