Anger Foot is an indie-action game developed by Free Lives and published by Devolver Digital. The game is planned to release for PC via Steam in 2023. The game follows a masked individual who kicks and shoots their way through 'Shit City', eliminating merciless gangsters.

Gameplay

Anger Foot is a first-person shooter which takes place in the deranged districts of Shit City and is centered around purging the city of its menacing enemies. The player takes on the role of the masked individual and is tasked with clearing out the city’s slums, sewers, and skyscrapers of the enemies.[1] In the first level, the player is placed in a building unarmed with nothing but their foot as a weapon to kick their way through enemies, progressing through the area allows the player to discover and access pistols, submachine guns, and shotguns. While advancing through different levels, new enemies and weapons are unlocked for the player to use at their disposal to help shoot and kick their way out of the level.[2] If the weapons ammo is depleted, the player has the ability to stun their enemies by throwing the weapon at them. Completing levels unlocks new sneakers for the player to equip which grants various different abilities and boosts… (such as)

Development

Anger Foot is developed by Free Lives, an independent video game development studio based in Cape Town. The studio has collaborated with publishing company Devolver Digital on previous games such as Broforce, Genital Jousting, Gorn, and Cricket Through the Ages. Free Lives are currently developing Terra Nil which the release date has yet to be announced. Anger Foot was originally developed by Luc Wolthers, Robbie Fraser, Jem Smith, and Jason Sutherland for the 2020 “Seven Day First-Person Game Jam” (7DFPS) challenge hosted by itch.io.[3] 7DFPS is a game development challenge where developers are challenged to create a first person game in seven days.
