Anger Music Group is a record label and art production company owned and operated by Bert McCracken, Quinn Allman, Jeph Howard, and Dan Whitesides of The Used, founded in 2011. They are partners with their distribution label Hopeless Records, which assists in releasing albums worldwide. [1] [2]

History

The Used founded their own record label, Anger Music Group, in 2011 after parting ways with Reprise. Bert McCracken describes the company as "a group that involves everything from managing to production to art design.” The original name for the label was going to be Dental Records, but the name was already trademarked, so The Used decided on Anger Music Group instead. They formed their own label for more musical freedom than Reprise allowed and because they wanted to do everything on their own, putting it out and paying for it. They decided to partner with Hopeless Records after determining that the workers at Hopeless had the most similar mindset of how the music world should be working. The Used are currently the only band signed to the label.[3] [4] [5]
