Ani-Mia is an American cosplayer, video host and comic book writer based out of Seattle, WA.[1][2]

Cosplay Career[edit]

Ani-Mia began cosplaying in 2008 and has been a featured guest at over 150 conventions worldwide since then including conventions in Manila, Beijing, Canada, Mexico, Copenhagen, South Africa and the United Kingdom.[3] She has cosplayed as over 80 characters so far and makes a fair number of her own cosplays. [4] She has also appeared on the cover of numerous comic books including those by Dynamite Comics [5], Archie Comics [6] and independent publishers. She also regularly writes about cosplay topics for Otaku USA Magazine and the Cosplay Central website run by ReedPop. [7]

Video Hosting[edit]

Ani-Mia is a video host for PreviewsWorld and Game Trade Media, showing off new comics weekly and various table top games, respectively.[8] She has also appeared as an extra on tv and film projects such as, A Handmaid's Tale and Wonder Woman: 1984. [9]

Comic Writing[edit]

In 2021, Ani-Mia began writing Bettie Page comics for Dynamite Comics. That year, she wrote Bettie Page and the Bigfoot Bandits, which was released as an crowd sourcing project.[10] In March of 2022, Bettie Page: The Alien Agenda was released as a five-issue series. Both comics include a cosplay variant featuring Ani-Mia cosplaying as Bettie Page. [11]
