Animesh Karmakar, better known by his stage name Animysh, is an Indian producer and electronic musician from Mumbai. He is best known for his single "Inside of Me" in collaboration with NDrew and his debut EP Getting Started..[1][2]
Early life[edit]
Animysh was born on 28 January 1992 in Bardhaman, West Bengal. However, his parents chose to move to Surat, Gujarat when Animysh was few months old. Growing up, he attended Kendriya Vidyalaya in Surat, where he found an early interest in computers, which later turned into a fascination for programming. He initially had no musical background; however, he later enrolled himself into Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal to learn music.
Career[edit]
Growing up, he listened to a lot of different genres of music. He was inspired by EDM producers Avicii, Calvin Harris and Skrillex, and is also influenced by film composers like Hans Zimmer and A.R.Rehman. He started all his music on his computer with Magix Music Maker, Adobe Audition but later on moved to FL Studio.
In 2012, with the help and feedback from his fans online, he began pursuing his music production career and slowly began posting his music to YouTube and SoundCloud[3]. That same year he posted his first track which was a bootleg remix of Justin Bieber's song "Beauty And A Beat"[3]. While honing his production skills he released two more bootleg remixes, one was of a bollywood song "Sooraj Dooba Hai" by Arijit Singh and the other one was of "Chained To The Rhythm" by Katy Perry[4][5]
On 26 December 2017, he released the debut single "Inside Of Me" with NDrew, while using the alias ANI.[2]
Animysh' career began to progress when he released his 2nd single "Tool" on 18 April, 2018 which was a complete shift of genre from his first single and was also the first release under the alias Animysh.[6]
Within two months, Animysh came up with his debut EP Getting Started which was released on 15 June 2018 on Octane Recordings.[7]
"America" is the upcoming third single by the Indian producer. It is expected to be released on 10 August 12018, through Tokabeatz.[8]
Currently he is working on his fourth single "Sun In My Pocket" which is expected to be released on 20 August 2018, through Deepsink Digital.[9]
