Anindya Kundu

Anindya Kundu is an American academic, sociologist, educator, and writer. He is an assistant professor of Educational Leadership at Florida International University in Miami.[1] He has delivered two popular TED Talks on issues related to educational inequality in the United States.[2][3] Kundu's work has been endorsed by prominent psychologist Angela Duckworth who served on his dissertation advisory committee.[4]

Education

Kundu received his PhD in Sociology of Education from New York University, where he won a teaching award.[5] He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago.[6]

Book

In 2020, Kundu's book, The Power of Student Agency, was published by Teachers College Press and the book was a 2021 Association of American Publishers PROSE Award (Professional and Scholarly Excellence) Finalist.[7]

TED Talks

Kundu has given two TED Talks which have received millions of views across platforms on issues related to achievement and education.[8] Kundu's 2020 TED Talk on the opportunity gap was recognized in the Top 5 Most Popular Talks of 2020.[9][10]
