Anjana Mahapatra (Born. As Anaya Ali) is a popular Kannada film actress. Active in the 1990s, Mahapatra appeared in the films Ajagajantar (1991), Euk Sinema Katha (1992), Looty Gang (1994) and Bangarada Kalash (1995).[1]

Mahapatra made her Kannada-film debut by dancing to the song "Srihari Mayeya Avatara" in the movie Sabarimalai Swami Ayyappa (1990). She played the arrogant wife of a police officer in the film Police's Wife (1990) and Malashree. Anjana's performance as a money-hungry middle-class housewife in Ajagajantar (1991) directed by famous actor-director Kashinath drew attention. In the Hindi version of this film, Judai (1997), Anjana's role was played by famous star Sridevi.[2] Anjana acted as a journalist in Roshagara (1992) and as a lawyer in Looti Gang (1994). She gave a memorable performance as Tyagamai in Vishnuvardhan and in Golden Urn (1995).
