Ankush Deshmukh (1983 – Present) is an [Indian Actor] known for [working in the Hindi and Marathi film industry. He has a vast experience in the field of Television commercials and has acted in more than 300 commercials.

Biography

Ankush made his film debut in Badrinath ki Dulhaniya.[1]. This break was just the beginning of his career and he went on to work in prominent films and with prominent actors. He worked in films like Blackmail[2] opposite Late Irrfan Khan, Kabir Singh[3], Sanju[4], and Lootcase[5]

Career

Ankush began his educational life in Chandrapur City in Nagpur. During his school days, he used to perform mimicry. Later, during his college days, he was actively involved in theater groups. He also underwent an NSD[6] workshop in 2004 conducted by Mihir Inamdaar, Dr. Raja Narsapurkar, and Jaideep Bhalerao. He acted in his first play 'Naati Goti' directed by Mr. Jaideep Bhalerao and written by Jaywant Dalvi[7]. This play went on to bag first prize in the highly prestigious 'Maharashtra Rajya Natya Spardha'. His performance was praised and he won the award for best actor. Soon, he arrived in Mumbai and began his journey in the film industry. He acted in Marathi serials like - 'Kunku', and 'Jhunja' along with a few Hindi serials to his name like - 'Prayaschit' and 'My Name is Lakhan'. He acted in his first TV commercial for the Mahindra power roll inverter, helmed by the eminent director - Vijay Maurya. Soon after the first commercial break, Ankush went on to act in commercials for Cadbury 5-star, V-guard inverters, and many prominent brands. To date, he has acted in more than 300 ad films. Ankush had his Bollywood break with Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya, where he played the UP-based character, MC. While working on the Flipkart ad, he met with Abhinay Deo who directed the commercial and later got a role in his next film titled 'Blackmail', where he worked alongside the veteran actor Late Irrfan Khan. He was selected for a minuscule but important role in 'Sanju.' In 2019, he starred in Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh. Ankush has also done comic roles, such as Lootcase (2020), where he played a Bank cashier. He was appreciated for his comic timing and performance in the film which eventually caught public attention. Ankush also appeared alongside Aditya Roy Kapur in his latest release, Gumraah[8].

Ankush's further project lineup includes 'Jawan' and a few Hindi untitled projects. Alongside this, he will be seen in IPL[9] advertisements and Instamart commercials.
