Anmol Roderiguez, originally named Shabbo Sheikh, (born on 17 November 1994) is a social activist, social influencer, TEDx Speaker from Mumbai. She was just a 2-month-old baby girl, resting on the lap of her mother, unaware of the dramatic condition that changed her life into the youngest acid attack survivor. It was a time when she was not mature enough to feel the heat and burn of acid, other than her mother’s love and warmth. Someone poured acid on her mother, and this affected her as well. After a few days, her mother died because of the intensity of the acid burn, and her family abandoned Anmol on the stairs of a Lokmanya Tilak Sion Hospital Mumbai. The tiny Anmol was saved by a Mumbai-based orphanage Shree Manav Seva Sangh, Sion Mumbai, and there she learned about her painful past in her growing years. She earned her graduate degree in Computer Application in 2015 from SNDT Women's University Mumbai and worked in an infrastructure company L&T as an HR professional for 2 years. She started her NGO Sahas Foundation in 2017, to help other acid attack survivors with their rehabilitation. She actively participated in social activities like fashion shows and social campaigns. She shared the stage with former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen and other celebrities. Recently, she is part of a social campaign of Kotak Mahindra Bank along with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.
