Ann Parrish

Ann Parrish (born October 17, 1760) [1] was a philanthropist. She is most notable for her part in the creation of The Friendly Society,[2] an organization focused on helping poor young women and children in the city of Philadelphia, PA,[3] and one of the first charitable organizations in Philadelphia operated entirely by women.
