Anna Ringier-Kieser (12 April 1896 – 3 September 2006) was a Swiss supercentenarian. She was the oldest living person in Switzerland for almost two years, at 110 years and 144 days old.[1][2] Her life spanned three centuries.

Biography

She was born on 12 April 1896 on a farm in Lenzburg in Switzerland, the youngest of four children. She first went to school in 1903, when the streets of Lenzburg were unpaved and there were no cars for transportation. She married in 1920, and her husband died in 1930; she never remarried. They had three children.[3]

She died on 3 September 2006 in Zofingen where she lived with her 82-year-old son. She was 110 years and 144 days old.[4] Following her death, Rosa Rein became the oldest living person in Switzerland.[5] Anna attributed her longevity to "plenty of sleep and good food."[6]
