Annapurna Singh
Annapurna Singh, also known as Poonam Singh (born 1974), is a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council representing the Varanasi local authorities as an Independent candidate. Previously, she served as a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council from 2010 to 2016 on a BSP ticket. She succeeded her brother-in-law, Uday Nath Singh (alias Chulbul), who held the seat from 1998 to 2010. After her term, her husband Brijesh Singh, a former don turned politician, represented the seat as an Independent from 2016 to 2022. Her nephew, Sushil Singh, is currently a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Saiyadraja Assembly constituency on a BJP ticket.
