Anne Whitaker is a consultant astrologer and astrology teacher. She has a background in adult education, generic and psychiatric social work, and private practice: as a counsellor, counselling supervisor and mentor. She lives and works in Glasgow, Scotland.

Her articles and essays have appeared in a wide range of newspapers, magazines and journals over the years including Kindred Spirit magazine (UK),[1] Glasgow UK’s Sunday Herald, the Glasgow Herald,[2] Apollon: the Journal of Psychological Astrology[3] and The Mountain Astrologer (USA). She studied at the Centre for Psychological Astrology in London from 1995-1998 to complete a three-year Diploma in Psychological Astrology with renowned teacher, writer and astrologer Dr Liz Greene. and the late Charles Harvey.

Her first book, “Jupiter Meets Uranus – from Erotic Bathing to Star Gazing”[4] was published by the American Federation of Astrologers in 2009 (USA). In 2015 she published four e-books:“Rumbold Raven’s Magic Menagerie”(children’s illustrated poetry book), “Wisps from the Dazzling Darkness” (an open-minded account and analysis of paranormal experience), “The Moon’s Nodes in Action” and “Jupiter Meets Uranus 1997/8 & 2010/11″ (the latter two are now free research studies linking individual and collective lives, both featured on and available through Astro Dienst [5] and [6])

Anne Whitaker writes for the UK’s Astrological Journal, where she has the bi-monthly piece, ‘Not the Astrology Column’. Her work is featured in The Mountain Astrologer magazine[7] (most recent articles being “Dreaming Frankenstein: The making of a modern myth” [April/May 2016 Issue]) and “The Saturn Cycles: forging the ‘diamond soul’ “[December/January 2017 Issue]), for whom she also writes book reviews. She also writes for Infinity Astrological Magazine, most recently in the November/December 2016 issue.[8]

Her main website is Astrology: Questions and Answers, which features only astrology articles and essays. Her other website is “Writing from the Twelfth House” which contains an archive of articles from 2008 onwards including writing "to support, encourage, inspire and entertain open-minded writers and readers who share her preoccupation with questions of mystery, meaning, pattern and purpose."[9]
