Biography[edit]
Anousha Nazari began singing in local orchestras before joining Sonata Philharmonic Orchestra & Choir Ensemble.[2] She learned the music theory alongside finishing her university studies in architecture, which she graduated in 2012.[3] In 2013 and 2014, she participated in national and international festivals.[4] In 2014, she was selected by the Tehran Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Alexander Rahbari.[4]
Residing in France since 2016, she joined the lyric singing section at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Cergy.[1][5]
After performing in the most prestigious halls in Iran (Vahdat Hall, Arasbaran, Roudaki, Milad and other), she continued her career on the Parisian and European stages (Beaux-Arts de Paris[6], Hôtel de Lauzun[7][8][1], Musée Français de la Carte à Jouer[9][8][7][10], Cité internationale universitaire de Paris[11][12], Hermann-Levi-Saal in Gießen[13][14], Rathaus Laubach Friedrichstraße in Laubach[15], where she collaborated with various artists and musicians such as Jean-Claude Carrière[7][8][1], Nahal Tajadod[7][8], Jeyran Ghiaee[8][7], and Mamli-Merati.[16][17][8]
She performed the Danse macabre by Camille Saint-Saëns in voice and piano versions.[18][19] She continued to study in the master classes of Jeff Cohen and the lyrical workshops of François Le Roux and Isabelle Philippe.[20][21][22][23]
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the creation of the editorial staff of RFI and the International Day of Nowruz, at the request of the Radio France internationale, she presented with Sepand Dadbeh fire temple of Karkouyeh composed by Sepand Dadbeh.[24][25]
Her first album, Sounds of Ancestors, was produced and released in March 2021 by the Samuel Jordan Center for Persian Studies & Culture at the University of California.[26][27][28][29] In April 2021, she participated with 20 artists worldwide in the musical project: 20 Chansons et Berceuses du monde, produced and published by Joyvox Éditions.[30][31][32]
On March 26, 2022, Anousha Nazari and Sepand Dadbeh revive a legendary Persian love story through musical performance in the Khmer Court of the National Museum of Asian Arts - Guimet in Paris.[33][34] This lyrical creation, devoted to the Persian loves of princess Shirin and king Khosrow, is inspired by the poems of Nizami, dating from the 12th century.[33][35][36]
