Anthony Masunga is the former chief operating officer for Botswana Telecommunications Corporation, from the previous appointment of being a general manager and acting manager commercial.[1]
Education
Anthony Masunga attended the University of Botswana and studied computer science at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.[2] Anthony Masunga earned a master's degree in business administration from De Montfort University in Leicester, England.
Career
Masunga first worked after graduating at the national Bank of Botswana as a systems analyst in 1995. He had a one year contract as a systems analyst and left for another company.
He later worked at the Botswana national productivity centre (Bnpc) in 1996 as a consultant for information technology. Masunga spent two operation years with the Botswana national productivity centre. Anthony later joined Mascom[when?] as an information technology manager. After three years, Anthony was moved into another position of the chief technical officer at Mascom wireless company at the age of 32 and was the first to hold the position at the company.
In 2008, Masunga joined the Be-mobile team, which after three months he took over to the Launch Director as the founding General Manager.
Masunga was appointed[by whom?] as the managing director of the Botswana Telecommunications Corporation in 2017 for its inception. He had been the acting managing director of the same company since 20 July 2016 before his appointment.
