Anthony Paul Rich
Early Years
Born in Olongapo, Philippines to a Filipino mother and American father. The father met the mother while he worked for the US Navy. Anthony was born in a hut outside of Olongapo. His nickname was “blue baby” as his skin tone was far paler than the other children in the Philippines. He has two older brothers who were both born in the Philippines from different fathers and another younger brother who was born in the United States who shares the same father. He was evacuated when he was nearly three years old when Mount Pinetubo Volcano erupted and his village, along with his home and 2 dogs, were engulfed by the lava. He went to elementary and middle school in San Diego, California. He moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1995 when his father was stationed there by the US Navy. He finished middle and high school within Jacksonville, FL. He started in business during high school when he was 17. With a passion for film and videography, he started a wedding videography business after ordering and watching a DVD on how to run a wedding videography business from Amazon. He also went into business between 17-18 years of age selling life insurance. Anthony went to serve in the United States military for one term.
Later Years
After leaving the US Navy, Anthony went into the financial field, first getting into the collection agency field working for one of the largest agencies in the United States. Within a couple of months, Anthony rose as one of the top collectors in the country and rose into upper management. During this time, Anthony started an online sports supplement store. Anthony then had a short stint within the mortgage lending field before going on a short sabbatical. His 2-week instead US travels ended up being a 3-month couch surfing ordeal. This changed Anthony’s life forever, as he discovered that travel was his true passion. Since then, Anthony went on to create a completely virtual online marketing business with a former business partner which allowed him to continue to travel while having extremely low overhead and high flexibility and freedom. Anthony then went to live in San Diego, CA, Las Vegas, NV, and Seattle, WA. After his daughter was born, he moved back to Jacksonville, FL to get into the info marketing field, specializing in sales and acquisitions. After a couple of years, he got into real estate investing where he created a specialized system that was unique in the industry. The system turned his acquisitions department into a production line, allowing his company to drastically acquire and sell more homes while having it fully automated. His real estate system got him into consulting for other real estate investors who wanted to duplicate his systems for their businesses. Soon after, his event and speaking business took off. He currently consults and speaks at a wide variety of events throughout the US. Anthony also partially owns a collection agency within Jacksonville, FL along with an eCommerce business.
Education
He went to elementary and middle school in San Diego, California. He moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1995 when his father was stationed there by the US Navy. He finished middle and high school within Jacksonville, FL. Middle School = Jeb Stuart Middle School, Jacksonville FL High School = Nathan Bedford Forrest High School, Jacksonville FL (now called Westside High School)
Anthony served within the special forces of the United States military for one term out of high school. His hopes were to get a college degree while enlisted and then go commission and eventually be a naval pilot. This did not happen as his focus on his job took too much of his time and energy. During his short military service, he realized that taking orders from other people was not for him. This of course did not go well while he served. Once his service was done, he went back into the entrepreneurial world.
