Antipodean Pharmaceuticals is a creator of products for antioxidant therapy, anti-aging and rejuvenation.[1][2][3] One of its product is MitoQ, a mitochondria-targeted CoQ10 antioxidant.[1][2] In 2008, Antipodean Pharamaceuticals announced that the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted the filing of the company's investigation new drug (IND) application for its lead compound MitoQ.[3] With the IND acceptance, the Company will involve U.S. clinical centers in the development of MitoQ for the treatment of liver diseases such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).[3] This IND has been subsequently withdrawn.
