Anton Axélo (born January 14, 1984) is a Swedish producer, songwriter and artist.
Biography[edit]
Axélo started his music career 1999 in the group Speakers Corner together with Tim Karlsson. Together they released the EP "Från då till nu" and did live gigs at Hultsfred festival's demo stage and Peace & Love, amongst other performances.
In 2004, he released his first solo album "Oljeglas" with the indie record label PayPerBag Records. The song "Jag har försökt" from the album became a this week's newcomer at P3 Street. His second album "Lycka i lösvikt" was released May 5, 2010, on the own record label Axélo Records. The album was visited by prog legend Mikael Wiehe and the video for the then single "Stå upp för ditt kvarter" was a this week's hit on ZTV.
In 2014, Axélo collaborated with Norstedts publishing with a specially written soundtrack to Cilla and Rolf Börjlind's novel Svart gryning, where the single "Trehundrasextiofem" was released together with the book.[1] That same year, he signed a contract with Warner Music. Axélo later signed a contract with PIAS, one of the world's largest indie companies, and their collaboration also became the first for PIAS in the Nordic region.
In 2016, Axélo wrote the song "Your Name", together with Ester Vallee and Jonas Quant, which became one of the most played songs in Swedish Radio P3 that summer.
In 2017, Axélo began producing music and in 2018, he produced and wrote together with Esther Vallee, her single "Higher".[2]
In 2020, Axélo produced Vallee's debut EP "Time's Up".[3]
Axélo has written and produced the music for H&M's global campaign THE POWER OF STYLE by Forsman & Bodenfors and other global brands such as Swarowski, Volvo and Fischer.
Today, Axélo is mainly active as a music producer, songwriter and topliner and has worked with artists and songwriters around the world including Grammy nominees Mouthe, Firefox AK, Esther Vallee, Shirin, Magnus Tingsek, Maxida Märak, Dolores Haze, Anansi.[4]
