Anton Taranenko (Ukrainian: Антон Тараненко, born 5 April 1985 in Donetsk, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian expert in the field of tourism, ex-official, blogger, businessman. He is the founder of the information portal for tourists traveling to Ukraine, "Visit Ukraine".[1]
Biography
Anton Taranenko was born on April 5, 1985, in Donetsk.
In 2007, he graduated from Donetsk State University of Management with a degree in "organization management". He received the qualification of manager-economist.
In 2021, Anton Taranenko received a PhD in Management. His thesis topic is "Event Management in Tourism".[2]
Career
From April 2014 to May 2015, he worked as the director of the Production Center "Note".[3]
From 2012 to 2014, Taranenko was an assistant consultant on a voluntary basis to the People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the VII convocation, and later to the Minister of Social Policy Pavel Rozenko.[4]
From 2014 to 2016, Taranenko was an assistant consultant on a voluntary basis to People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation Yegor Firsov.[5]
From August 2017 to January 2018, he was Head of the Department of Promotion and Tourism of Kyiv State City Administration. He was the secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Eurovision and the final 2018 UEFA Champions League.[6]
From January 2018 to July 2019, he was the head of the Department of Tourism and Promotions of the Kyiv City State Administration.
Immediately after that, he began cooperating with the Kyiv State Administration shortly before the resignation of the then head, Mykhailo Bno-Ayrian.[7]
In the summer of 2020, he launched the Visit Ukraine project, which encourages foreigners to visit Ukraine and promote domestic tourism.[8]
Family
He is married to Anna Kravchenko, with whom he is raising a son, Lev (born in 2017).[9]
