Antonia Medlicott is a British financial journalist and entrepreneur. She founded the personal finance website Investing Insiders in 2023 and is its managing director. Since 2025 she has written a regular personal finance column for The Times.[1][2]
Career
Early career
Medlicott joined the financial comparison website InvestingReviews as its financial editor in 2020, later becoming chief financial editor.[3] In that role she was quoted by the financial trade press on market and economic developments, including the effect of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine on equity markets and Bank of England interest rate decisions.[4][5][6]
Investing Insiders
Medlicott founded Investing Insiders in 2023 and serves as its managing director. The site publishes personal finance guidance and reviews of investment platforms, and is funded by commission: it discloses that some of the products it displays are supplied by partners that compensate it for placement.[7][1]
Research published by the site has been reported by the financial trade press. In October 2025 FTAdviser reported its finding that artificial intelligence tools answered personal finance questions correctly only about half the time,[8] and in February 2026 it reported the site's analysis of five-year pension fund performance against the FTSE 100.[9]
Writing and commentary
Medlicott has written a regular personal finance column for The Times since 2025, covering saving, investing and financial education.[2][10][11] She has also written for City A.M., The Daily Telegraph and the British edition of Entrepreneur.[12][13]
She is quoted as a personal finance commentator by national and trade media. The Guardian quoted her on saving and investing in the context of proposed changes to ISAs,[14] and she has also been quoted by the Financial Times, MoneyWeek and Euronews.[15][16][17] In July 2026 she appeared on the FTAdviser podcast to discuss fiscal policy.[18]
Personal life
Medlicott is married and has two children. She took a career break to raise them before returning to work in finance.[1]
