Antonio Abbate (born 6 August 1997, in Foggia) is an italian director.
Career
Abbate gained professional experience working on both Italian and international film sets. Notably, he served as the personal assistant to American filmmaker Michael Mann.[1][2][3][4] In 2019, he directed the short film Sottosuolo (Underground), which received awards at various festivals, including the 2020 European Film Festival. In 2023, his feature film directorial debut, the thriller Phobia, was released in theaters. The film stars Jenny De Nucci and Antonio Catania.[5]
In 2025 he become on of the finalist of Solinas prime. [6]
