On 12 December 2019, Calà made his Empoli debut in a 2–1 win against Ascoli Calcio 1898 F.C. ending the match with an assist.
International career[edit]
Calà made his debut for Italian national team u20 with a 4-2 win against Switzerland on 12 December 2019. Calà participated With the Italy U19 team, he took part in the 2019 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
