Antonio Neri

Antonio Fabio Neri (born May 10, 1967) is an American business executive, born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. He is the current President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, who has strong roots in engineering. Mr.Neri Joined HP in 1995 as an EMEA customer services engineer and has more than 25 years of experience in Services Industry.

Career: He quickly climbed the ranks of HP, becoming worldwide director of Imaging and Print services in 1997, then vice president of HP personal systems and customer services in 2004, then headed up the firm's services business unit in 2013 before moving to servers and networking in 2014 until 2015. Prior to becoming president and CEO in February 2018, he served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Group at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company from November 2015 to June, 2017.

Early Life & Education: Neri comes from a Computer Engineering background, graduating from National Technological University, Bahia Blanca, Argentina (1986 – 1990). Neri has strong roots in Engineering, which is markedly different from his predecessors at HP/HPE. The last HP CEO to come from an engineering background was Lewis Platt, who held the chief executive role from 1992 until 1999.

Industry Contributions: Antonio has led the strategy, development and introduction of many breakthrough innovations at HP and HPE, including:

  • HPE Apollo, the industry leading high performance compute platform;
  • HPE Superdome X, the world’s most scalable and modular in-memory computing platform; HPE Synergy, the world’s first composable infrastructure platform;
  • HPE Cloudline, HPE’s server portfolio designed for service providers who need fast deployment, flexible operation, and low total cost of ownership; and,
  • HPE Moonshot, the first software-defined compute platform.

He was also responsible for HPE’s acquisitions and integrations of Aruba Networks, SGI, SimpliVity, Niara, Rasa Networks, Nimble Storage, Cloud Cruiser and Cloud Technology Partners.
