Early life[edit]

Atsalis was born in Corfu, Greece to Panagiotis Atsalis and Nikoleta Kontou on 9 December 1999. He has two younger brothers Michail and Spiridon-Chrysostomos. His true family origins are from Tripoli, Pelloponisos. Raised in Benitses (village mapped in Corfu's centre) Antonios showed his interest for sports at early age. As his father Panagiotis was a well known javelin thrower to his young age, he started practising and trying into different sports such as soccer, swimming, handball, water polo and track&field.

Student life[edit]

Atsalis originally attended public Middle School and High School in Corfu, his motherland. Averaging an excellent GPA he started taking extra classes for foreign languages such as English, French and Italian.

Through his stay in the USA Antonios got his coaching license from the USA Basketball Federation after having complete the mandatory online courses.

College Career[edit]

Althouth Atsalis's post high school coach, sent letter of inquiry and highlight reels to over 20 American universities he was not recruited by any university for a couple of weeks. He ended up having a call from almost five NCAA D1 universities such as Oregon, Kentucky and Michigan. Due to personal/family issues Antonios didn't make it to the US so his dream of playing college basketball faded.

Professional Career[edit]

Atsalis spent his whole life to Faiakas BC academies. From the early ages to young men groups. After graduating high school Atsalis joined the local team Ionios BC to start the 2017-18 season. Due to inside team's issues the season ended early. Next season Atsalis signed back with Faiakas BC to continue his career. On November 2021 he travelled to the US to pursuit his basketball dream. Was invited by multiple NBA teams to tryout for their NBA G-League rosters.

Player profile[edit]

With a 6'3" wingspan and 6'1" in height in shoes, Atsalis is praised for his sharp shooting skills. Assisting his teams through a non-arguably excellent court vision he can run at both ends leading his team.

He can defend opponent guards using his explosiveness and fast side steps.
