Antony Wainaina (also known by the artist name Nommadj) is a Kenyan tech entrepreneur and real estate consultant. His career spans web development, digital strategy, media and content creation, and property technology. He is the founder of Maploti, a digital real estate platform in Kenya.[1][2]
Early life and education
Wainaina was born and raised in Kenya.[1] In 2017, he took his first job as a cleaner at Diamond Plaza in Parklands, Nairobi, before moving into sales roles. The same year he pursued a short computer course in Baba Dogo, Nairobi, and continued to self-teach using online tutorials.[1] By 2019, he was working at a cybercafé in Mathare North, where he learned more about digital tools.[1]
Career
After gaining experience in technology, Wainaina began freelancing in web design, SEO, digital marketing, and consulting.[1][2] He also trained in journalism and has contributed on topics such as real estate trends, diaspora investment, and urban development in Africa.[1]
Entrepreneurship
Wainaina worked as a consultant for real estate companies in Nairobi, creating virtual tours, social campaigns, and digital content.[1] In May 2025, he founded Maploti, a digital real estate platform designed to connect buyers and sellers and provide information resources.[1]
Other activities
Under the name Nommadj, Wainaina is also involved in music production and DJing.[1][2]
