Anugula Rakesh Reddy (born 11 May 1985) is an Indian politician from Telangana associated with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). He was nominated as a candidate for the Nalgonda–Khammam–Warangal Graduates' constituency in the Telangana Legislative Council elections.[1]

Early life and education

Rakesh Reddy was born in Hanumakonda, Telangana, into a farming family.

He completed his schooling in Warangal and pursued intermediate education in Guntur. He later attended the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, where he completed postgraduate studies.

During his time at BITS Pilani, he was associated with student activities and held a leadership role in the student union.

Professional career

Rakesh Reddy began his career in the corporate sector and worked with multinational companies in India and abroad.[1]

He later became involved in social and educational initiatives aimed at supporting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Political career

Rakesh Reddy began his political career in 2013 by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He served in the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the BJP, holding positions such as State Social Media Incharge and State Secretary.

He later served as a BJP State spokesperson and held district-level organizational responsibilities.

In 2024, he joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).[2]

He was nominated as the BRS candidate for the Nalgonda–Khammam–Warangal Graduates' constituency.[1]
