Goswami began his career writing for television dramas and comedies. In 2012, he worked on the supernatural television series Anamika.

His major breakthrough came when he joined the writing team of the hit sketch comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors TV, writing nearly 200 episodes between 2013 and 2016. Following the show's conclusion, Goswami continued his creative partnership with Kapil Sharma as a core writer for The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony Entertainment Television from 2016 to 2022, contributing to over 360 episodes. He also wrote for other television projects, including the 2017 sitcom Bhaag Bakool Bhaag.

When Sharma shifted his talk show format to digital streaming with Netflix's The Great Indian Kapil Show in 2024, Goswami transitioned into the role of series director, handling multiple seasons of the global streaming show.

Film

Goswami transitioned to Hindi cinema by writing the original story and co-writing the screenplay for the 2015 romantic comedy film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, directed by Abbas–Mustan. The film marked the feature film debut of Kapil Sharma and became a commercial success at the box office. He subsequently contributed to other film scripts, including dialogue and screenplay work for Welcome To New York (2018) and Hungama 2 (2021).

In 2025, Goswami made his feature film directorial debut with the spiritual sequel Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, which he also wrote.
