Anwarul Hoque (Bengali: নদিয়া আলী; born 15 August 1971) is a Bangladeshi-born British radio presenter.[1] He is best known for presenting the Weekend Bengali Show on BBC Asian Network.
Career[edit]
Hoque presented the Weekend Bengali Show for over 10 years before leaving in November 2012.[2][3] He was the longest serving presenter for BBC Asian Network.[4]
Hoque also heads the Community Languages Unit for Leicester City Council.[4]
Awards[edit]
In February 2008, Hoque received an award for his contribution to the media by the Birmingham Bangladeshi League.[4]
