Anwen O'Driscoll is a Canadian actress. She is best known for playing Taylor Matheson in the CBC legal drama series Burden of Truth (2018–2021) and for her acclaimed lead performance in Canadian indie drama You Can Live Forever, which premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival.[1]

Early life[edit]

Born and raised in Lindsay, Ontario, O'Driscoll's acting career began with the Lindsay Little Theatre, where she was cast in various stage productions, including the lead role of Catherine Llewellyn in David Auburn’s award-winning drama Proof.[2] She was a member of the Young Ruffians of Shakespeare in Toronto, and played Nooria in the stage read of The Breadwinner at Stratford's Indie Spring Works.

Career[edit]

From 2018 to 2021, O'Driscoll played Taylor Matheson in three seasons of Burden of Truth for CBC and The CW. In 2020 she was a series regular on October Faction for Netflix.

In 2021, O'Driscoll starred in two Lifetime made for television movies; Left for Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story and The Good Father: The Martin MacNeill Story.

In 2022, O'Driscoll made her feature film debut alongside June Laporte, Liane Balaban and Deragh Campbell in You Can Live Forever, which premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival[3]

Personal life[edit]

O'Driscoll is the granddaughter of Irish author Robert O'Driscoll.[4]

She identifies as queer.[3]
