Aparna Devi (born 23 August 1995) is an Indian film actress who appears in South Indian cinema.

Biography[edit]

Aparna Devi is an accomplished actress and dancer who has made a significant impact in South India. She gained popularity through her roles in television serials such as Chackoyum Maryyum, broadcast on Mazhavil Manorama, and Thinkalkalaman, broadcast on Surya TV. Aparna played a title character in Chackoyum Maryyum and portrayed the unique character Keerthana in Thinkalkalaman. She is currently acting as the heroine in a Telugu movie. She also starred in a leading role in a Tamil musical album sung by Shweta Menon.

Aparna was born in Thekkumbhagam, Kollam district, to Anandachandran and Laila. She is a trained classical dancer, having learned Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam from Kerala Kalamandalam. She completed a postgraduate degree in Bharatanatyam from Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University with honors. After her studies, she continued to participate in seminars and workshops on Indian classical dance. She has presented her thesis on classical dance aesthetics at national seminars and has performed at various festivals, including the Singapore Fest in 2015.

Aparna has worked alongside notable dancer and actor Shobana and has performed at several state and national festivals. She has also served as a dance teacher and a judge for state art festivals. Currently, she is the founder and director of Mudrapeedam School of Performing Arts, where over 100 students learn classical dance under her guidance. She is married to Ramith Ramesh.
