The Apes awards were an annual award granted by the Association of Journalists of Shows, Art and Culture of Chile (Apes), which had its peak during the 1980s and 1990s. In 2014 it was the last presentation of this award.
Between 1968 and 2014,[1] the journalists that make up the Apes awarded the most outstanding representatives of Chilean cinema, radio, theater, ballet, popular music, and television, as a stimulus to their work, and as recognition from experts.
