Early life
Nichapalak Thongkham was born on May 23, 2002,[1][2] at Ban Phe, Mueang Rayong, Rayong, Thailand. She graduated from Assumption College Rayong, Columba College and Srinakharinwirot University (Model Department). Currently, she is studying at the College of Social Communication Innovation at Srinakharinwirot University.
Career
Nichapalak Thongkham[3] was one of the 7 finalists of the 2015 Young Model contest. At the same time, she participated in The Face Thailand (Season 2) when she was only 13 years old. She was one of the youngest contestants on the show (and also the youngest contestant across all seasons of The Face worldwide).
She is one of the most successful contestants to enter the modeling industry. Her impressive performance, full of confidence, individuality and vitality, on The Face Thailand (Season 2) helped her gain public recognition. She has since received countless invitations to high-class catwalks and fashion shows such as the Chanel Fashion Show (Spring-Summer 2016 Ready-to-Wear) at Airport Rail Link, Makkasan Station, Elle Men Fashion Week (Nagara Brand)[4] , Zen Bangkok Fashion Runway (Sheranut Brand).[5]
In 2017, she transitioned into acting, starring in her first two films: That Time... Not Forget (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) and horror/thriller/drama The Promise (2017 Thai film); (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist. - where she joined Bee Namthip, a coach from The Face Thailand (Season 2).
- She participated in her debut drama series, "That Time... Not Forget" (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) also known as: "That Time... Unforgotten"[6][7] produced by BEC-Tero Entertainment. The series was broadcast on Channel 3 SD (Thailand) and Thai PBS.
- Regarding The Promise (2017 Thai Film),[8] after multiple rounds of selection, young actress Nichapalak Thongkham was chosen to star alongside veteran actress Namthip Jongrachatawiboon. In the film, she plays Boum's daughter, portrayed by Namthip.
- Nichapalak Thongkham said[9] that she was very happy to be chosen for the film but also worried as she considered herself a "weak" person and was "extremely afraid of ghosts." The actress recounted her unsettling experience during filming: "I'm really afraid of ghosts, and I'm sure I've encountered one before. From the first day of filming until the end, I prayed continuously. Every time I climbed a building, I had to carry a Buddha image with me. Besides my fear of ghosts, I'm also afraid of heights.[10] There was a scene in the movie where I had to stand right at the edge of the floor. I was unable to act, and I couldn't even cry out loud. Acting coach Ngor taught me how to compartmentalize my fear by making noise and focusing on it. I finally completed the scene."
In 2018, Nichapalak Thongkham participated in several television series, including Love Songs Love Series: Ja Ruk Reu Ra Jai,[11][12] Lost Father (Khun Por Jorm Sa),[13][14] and The Gifted.[15]
After achieving great success through television shows and movies, especially the drama in the popular TV series in 2018, she became increasingly famous among the public. Whenever Lilly Apichaya Thongkham or Lilly Nichapalak Thongkham is mentioned, people immediately think of the young girl who participated in the show The Face Thailand (Season 2), the girl who played the 'cursed' role in the film The Promise (2017 Thai Film), or the 'bespectacled' girl in the film The Gifted (Thai TV Series - Part 1), etc.
From 2019 until now, she has participated in several TV series, including Broken 2,[16][17][18] The Gifted: Graduation (Part 2), Club Friday The Series: Broken Anniversary,[19][20] Sai Roong,[21][22][23][24] The Family (Wongsakhanayat),[25][26][27] Ready, Set, Love,[28][29] etc.
The music videos she participated in include: รอ (Only You),[30] ภาพฝัน (Please),[31] Sangdai Sanglaew (participated for 40 years at GMM GRAMMY), and โทรหาเราสิครับ (BOYFRIEND SERVICE) in collaboration with MEYOU (Chisanucha Tantimeth) and SPRITE RAPPER (Sukollawat Puangsombat).
