Apolinario Mabini was a prominent Filipino national hero known as the “Brains of the Revolution” and the “Sublime Paralytic.”

He was born on July 23, 1864, in Talaga, Tanauan, Batangas. His parents were Inocencio Mabini, a farmer, and Dionisia Maranan, a laundress.

Despite being paralyzed due to polio, Mabini became famous for his sharp intellect and deep patriotism. He served as the chief adviser of President Emilio Aguinaldo during the Philippine Revolution and helped establish the First Philippine Republic. He also wrote important documents like the Constitution of the First Republic, promoting freedom, justice, and good governance.

Mabini became a hero not through weapons, but through his ideas, proving that true strength comes from the mind and the heart.
