Apoorva Ramaswamy (née Tewari; 1988/1989)[1] is an American laryngologist and researcher who serves as an assistant professor of otolaryngology at The Ohio State University.[2]

Education and career

Ramaswamy received her doctor of medicine degree from the Yale University School of Medicine in 2015. She completed a residency in otolaryngology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in 2020, followed by a fellowship in laryngology at the University of California Davis Medical Center, which she completed in 2021.[3]

Following her fellowship training, Ramaswamy became board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery in 2022. She specializes in laryngology, with clinical and research interests including voice, airway, and swallowing disorders.[4]

Personal life

Ramaswamy is married to entrepreneur and politician Vivek Ramaswamy who is currently the Republican nominee for the governor of Ohio.[5]

The couple have 3 children together.[6]

She is the daughter of Ashutosh Tewari, a urologist and Mamta Tewari.
