AppZen was co-founded by Anant Kale and Kunal Verma on December 1, 2012. The headquarter office is located in San Jose, California, with additional offices in Tempe, Arizona and Pune, India.[3]

In November, 2014, AppZen received Seed Round funding led by 500 Startups, a venture capital firm based in Mountain View, California.[9]
In June, 2016, AppZen received another Seed Round funding led by Resolute Ventures, a venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California.
In November, 2017, AppZen received Series A funding led by Redpoint Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, California.
In October, 2018, AppZen received Series B funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, a venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, California.[10]
