The Appalachian Byway is a 120-mile (190 km) Ohio Scenic Byway that connects Hannibal to Nelsonville via State Route 78 (SR 78).[2] There is also a section that connects drivers to The Wilds in Muskingum County via SR 284.[2] It travels through Athens, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum and Noble counties.[3]
