Applause Entertainment is a venture of the Aditya Birla Group, a $43 billion Indian multinational Industry with over 120,000 employees and operating in 36 countries.
It is a content and IP creation studio with a focus on creating premium digital drama series.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] The company has a focus on investing in content creation and then partners with various distribution platforms to target consumers globally.[10][11] It has different content from original series to Indian adaptation of international shows,[12][13][14][15][16][17][18] it has has more than 20 premium digital series coming up this year.[19]
It is headed by Sameer Nair who is a pioneer in media and entertainment industry, he possess an experience of over three decades with holding key positions at leading industries.
The content division at Applause Entertainment is headed by Deepak Segal. Deepak has over three decades of experience in the television and film industry.[20][21]
The marketing and revenue division is headed by Ashok A Cherian. He has over 19 years of experience of television, print, retail and consulting.[22][23]
