Apple Bottom Drumline were part of the Apple Bottom Drill Team who performed during the BET Hip Hop Awards 2007.[1] They were the first all-female drumline ever to come together professionally.
By sending their audition tapes through MySpace, hip hop artist Nelly and creative director Kimberly Burse selected the finalists. The drumline consisted of Natracia Ballard, Morgan, Lauren “L-Boogie” Johnson, Menika Epps, Emily, Whitney, Channing, Cenobia “Snow”, Toya, Briyana “Sassy” Newby, Justasasia McClaney, Kamile Gillmore, Lyana, Tra Ballard, and Sherry.[1]
