Appointocracy

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Appointocracy is a form of government in which governing officials effectively appoint each other, thus it is rule by appointees. The term has been used pejoratively to refer to some representative democracies in which the influence of the citizens through voting has been effectively minimized through multiple degrees of separation between the people they elect and the appointed people who actually influence the government.[1][2]
