History
Aquity Solutions was founded on February 1, 2019, as a dedicated outsourced clinical documentation labor service company. The Company’s legacy dates back to 1998 when CBay Systems was incorporated in the same year as a Delaware Corporation in the USA and set up its backend operations in India in June 1999. After successfully operating for 10 years, CBay Systems acquired MedQuist Inc - a leading provider of medical transcription services and a leader in technology-enabled clinical documentation workflow in 2008.
In April 2010, it acquired another clinical documentation technology and service company Spheris LLC to expand its operations in the US market.
The 2011 acquisition of Multimodal Technologies Inc.[1] made the Company one of the largest healthcare solutions companies in the world with world-class technology capabilities. With an intention to operate under a single brand name, the Group then branded itself as M*Modal. In February 2019, the Company sold its technology division and the M*Modal brand to another giant in the industry, 3M, and spun-off under the brand name AQuity Solutions, retaining the services business for itself. Since then, the Company has grown stronger with a focus on its service offerings in Medical Transcription, Virtual Scribe, Medical Coding, Interim Management, and allied services.
In November 2019, the company announced expanding its operations at the Hyderabad location by doubling its headcount[2]
