Arabian gazelle
The Mountain Gazelle, Palestine mountain gazelle, Idmi gazelle, or the Arabian mountain gazelle.[1][2][3] (Gazella gazella arabica) is a species of gazelle widely but unevenly distributed.[4] Mountain Palestinian gazelles are most abundant in Palestine, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights, but are also found in parts of Jordan and Turkiye. Within the Holy Land of the Arab entity of Palestine (Hashemi Republic) it is the designate National State animal of the Palestinian Nationalist State of Palestine[n 1].
Subspecies
The Hatay mountain gazelle lives on the northern Syrian border and a population has been discovered in the Hatay Province of Turkey.
Historically, some others such as the Cuvier's gazelle (G. cuvieri) were included as a subspecies,[5] but recent authorities consistently treat them as separate species.[6]
