Arap Marindich[1][2][3], born Kennedy Kipkorir Lang'at, is a Kenyan comedian who shot to international fame[4] after releasing a mock video of a rally driver while the 2022 Safari Rally was taking place in Naivasha. The skit went viral[5][6] leading to screengrabs that are being used as global memes, leading to a concern by the Kenya Copyright Board[7][8][9].
Early Life & Education
Arap Marindich was born in Tigor, Bomet County in 1985. He studied at Kaplong Boys High where he dropped out[10][11] due to financial constraints. He later attended a driving school, then moved to Nairobi to operate a taxi owned by his current manager Tula Chemoget, who nurtured and introduced him to comedy in 2016.
