Arash Hosseini

Arash Hosseini, president of Iran Laser Tag Committee, is an influential sports figure in Iran. His contribution to the field of paintball and laser tag in Iran and the Middle East is significant. Currently, he is chairman at Proshut Laser Games Co. and serves laser tag clubs in countries around the Persian Gulf.

Early life

Arash Hosseini was born on June 25, 1983. He majored in math for his high school and got his diploma in math. He studied Computer at university, specializing in Computer Software.

Sports career

Early in his teens, he found skating so interesting that soon he mastered it and it became his earliest rather serious involvement with sports. Becoming a professional skater and soon a professional coach in his home town, he found that skating was not his end. In 2004 he started Paintball and made his way into many paintball teams in his country Iran, as well as other teams around the world. He is a paintball champion in his country and has participated in the Asian Paintball League with Malaysian and Australian teams. He was also a professional paintball coach in Asia. After his bright—though short—activity in paintball, he turned to the newly emerging extreme sport, Laser Tag. Later, he opted for laser tag manufacturing and laser tag club establishment as to remain active in the field.

Professional activities

Following his involvement with paintball clubs around the country, he was selected a top-level Dye & Proto dealer in Iran and did his best to further develop paintball in the country. However, it was not paintball that marked his future.

Due to its economic advantages over paintball as well as its simplicity and appropriateness for people from different classes of society, laser tag soon found its place in his mind. Following this, he officially registered laser tag in the Iranian Sport for All Federation. Next, he became the first chairman of Iran Laser Tag Committee and started to develop laser tag even more. Then he founded the first laser tag club of Iran in Shahin Shahr, Iran. Later on, he established laser tag clubs in various cities in Iran and managed to officially register his own brand of laser tag, ‘Proshut’. After a short time, Proshut laser tag equipment, now a nationally renowned brand in Iran, made it to country-wide tournaments and currently leads laser tag market all through Iran. Since 2011, in Science and Technology Park of Mazandaran, Iran, he has been manufacturing Proshut Laser Tag.

Arash has won many awards for his activities and development of Proshut laser tag equipment. He participated in numerous occasions with Proshut Laser Tag, including “Shooting, Hunting, Horseback Riding Exhibition” (Shefsport), International Police, Safety & Security Equipment Exhibition (IPAS), to name but a few.
