He is the Strategic Advisor and Equity Partner of London AI Studio and Value Astra Ltd, and the author of The Leadership Trap: Why Smart Leaders Fall Into 3 Death Spirals (And How to Break Free) and From Pilots to Profits: The Chief AI Officer's 7 Principles for Scaling AI Without Losing Trust.[1] With over 23 years of global experience, he has served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief AI Officer (CAIO) across multinational enterprises, guiding organizations through AI adoption, ERP modernization, and large-scale mergers and acquisitions integrations.[2]

Early Life and Education

Aravind Sakthivel was born on 23 July 1981 in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, India.[3]

He earned an MBA in Business & IT from Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands in 2013, where he focused on aligning technology strategy with business objectives. He completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School, specializing in high-potential leadership and organizational transformation. Additionally, he is a Certified Enterprise Architect from Carnegie Mellon University and holds certification as an AI Entrepreneur from Industry Rockstar. His undergraduate degree is a B.E. in Engineering from Periyar University, India.[4]

Career

Early Career

Aravind began his professional career in enterprise consulting with leading global firms including Oracle, KPMG, and General Electric (GE). During this period, he specialized in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation, Oracle Process Manufacturing consulting, and enterprise IT strategy, gaining foundational expertise in large-scale technology deployments and business process transformation.[5]

Danaher/Veralto Corporation

Aravind spent 18 years with Danaher Corporation (later reorganized as Veralto), where he held progressive IT leadership roles across multiple operating companies in Europe, the United States, and Asia. His responsibilities included leading global IT strategy, ERP modernization initiatives, strengthening cybersecurity frameworks and compliance programs (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, GxP), building and managing high-performing international IT teams, driving digital transformation and business process optimization, and overseeing enterprise resilience and business continuity planning.

As Chief Information Officer at Esko Graphics (a Veralto company), he led enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives aligned with profit and loss (P&L) goals. His achievements included leading eight global M&A integrations with zero business disruption, implementing AI-powered customer self-service portals, orchestrating ERP modernization programs, achieving significant annual cost savings through cloud platform consolidation and vendor contract renegotiation, and maintaining SOX compliance throughout all transformation initiatives.[6]

Fractional CIO and Chief AI Officer

Aravind currently operates as a Fractional CIO and Chief AI Officer, providing executive-level IT leadership to organizations without the overhead of a full-time C-suite position. His services focus on aligning IT strategy with business goals and P&L objectives, ERP and cloud modernization, M&A IT integration and divestiture planning, AI and robotic process automation (RPA) deployment, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, and digital customer platform development.
