Search Arcaea on Amazon.Arcaea is a rhythm game created by lowiro limited. It was first released globally for both iOS and Android on March 8th, 2017.

Arcaea has a story told in a visual novel format, with separate stories for separate characters (similar to BanG Dream!).

Gameplay

Arcaea's gameplay features multiple types of notes.

Note Type	Mechanic	Image
Tap note	Comes down one of four lanes. Tap on it to score.
Hold note	Comes down one of four lanes. Tap and hold down to score.
Arc note	Can come anywhere on the screen. Tap and drag along it to score. Generally, red arcs are to be played by the right hand and blue arcs are to be played with the left hand.
Traces	Can appear anywhere. You cannot gain score from trace notes.
Sky Notes	Generally appear on traces, though there are some exceptions. Tap where the note is to score.

Songs in Arcaea have three or sometimes four difficulties.

Difficulty	Mechanic	Image
Past	Ranging from levels 1-6, the Past difficulty is the lowest of the three main difficulties. The rhythms are heavily simplified, mostly using only quarter notes and very few eighths.
Present	Ranging from levels 3-9, the Present difficulty is the middle difficulty of the three. Rhythms are still simplified, however not as much. Eighths are more common, and sixteenths can appear but only in the hardest Present charts.
Future	Ranging from levels 7-11, the Future difficulty is the top difficulty of the main three. Sixteenths are fairly common, and there are even occasional twenty-fourths and thirty-seconds.
Beyond	Added in version 3.0, the Beyond difficulty is Arcaea's extra difficulty, even harder than Future. Levels range from 8-11. Rhythms are fairly similar to Future, but the notable differences are that the bounds of the play field are wider and more unique charting techniques are used (such as a sky note at the start of an arc).
