Archana Gupta (born 20 June 1968) is an Indian politician and radiologist from Haryana.[1][2] She has served as the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Haryana since 28 May 2026.[3][4]
Early life and education
Gupta was born on 20 June 1968 in Samalkha, Panipat district, Haryana. She completed her MBBS and MD in Radiology from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak where she was awarded a gold medal for academic excellence.[5]
Political career
Gupta began her public life through the Vishva Hindu Parishad before joining the Bharatiya Janata Party. She later served as district president of the BJP Mahila Morcha in Panipat and was appointed president of the BJP's Panipat district unit in 2020.[6] She subsequently became the party's Haryana state general secretary.[7]
On 28 May 2026, Gupta was appointed president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Haryana, succeeding Mohan Lal Badoli. She became the second woman to lead the Haryana unit of the BJP and the first woman to hold the post in more than four decades.[8]
