Archer Explorations Limited changed its business name to Archer Materials Limited at an annual general meeting on 30th October 2019. Archer Materials Limited (ASX: AXE) is a technology, advanced materials and exploration business currently operating in Australia, with offices in both Sydney and Adelaide. The company was officially listed on the ASX in August 2007. In October 2017, Archer Materials acquired Carbon Allotropes, a graphene and graphite online marketplace. In April 2019, the business announced the commencement of the 12CQ Project, with the aim to build a world-first quantum computing chip that could operate at room-temperature, using carbon nanospheres as the qubit material.
Archer is working on disease-detecting graphene ink biosensors, and owns various exploration tenements, including a graphite deposit at Campoona, South Australia.
