Area code 448

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Area code 448 has been approved by Florida State Regulators for use in Northwest Florida. The area is currently using the 850 area code, which is in use in 18 counties in Florida[1]. The 850 area code is expected to run out of new phone numbers by Q3 2021. The new area code 448 won't replace the current area code of 850. Instead, the new area code will be issued under what the North American Number Plan Administrator describes as "All-Services Overlay[2]". This will allow both the 850 and the 448 area codes to be used in the current service area of the 850 Area Code.
