Argusoft
Argusoft India Ltd. is a software solutions design company, headquartered in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The company was founded by serial entrepreneurs, Ram Gopalan and Ravi Gopalan. Established in 2001, Argusoft provides services covering all phases of software development. The company works closely with several state governments in India, and also with central government departments. Apart from this, the company works with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO). Argusoft's proprietary healthtech solution MEDPlat [1] is one of the 40 applications integrated with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The ABDM is the National Health Authority's flagship scheme. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded[2] Argusoft's health tech efforts in the year 2019 for a period of 41 months for its stated purpose of enhancing "the services offered by Community Health Workers through the use of innovative technologies to provide better health outcomes to vulnerable populations."
Argusoft developed TeCHO+, an implementation of its proprietary MEDPlat, for the Government of Gujarat. TeCHO+ is an abbreviation for the Government of Gujarat's program named 'Technology for Community Health Operation' and it helps in addressing the state’s priority health issues. The TeCHO+ ecosystem laid the roadmap for addressing[3] comprehensive primary healthcare issues leveraging technology. eKavach, another MEDPlat implementation, is currently being rolled out[4] in the state of Uttar Pradesh with modules such as Vaccine Management and Family Health Survey (FHS).
In Jamaica, Argusoft helped the Administrator General’s Department (AGD) to complete implementation of its Trust and Estate Management System (TEMS)[5]. The TEMS digitized processes that were previously manual and contributed to improving the public’s access to government services.
Argusoft is currently building[6] Em Care with WHO as a part of a WHO response to emergency settings requiring adherence to recommended guidelines for the delivery of clinical care. The Em Care project utilizes SMART Guidelines[7], a set of guidelines that guide countries as they put together a digital response to health emergencies or even general public health implementations. Further, Argusoft collaborates[8] with Google to apply the Android FHIR SDK towards empowering community health workers and enabling equitable access to high quality care.
