From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Ari Ketola is a Finnish business man, investor, philanthropist and founder of Ductor Corp.. Ketola was born in 1966 in Finland. He studied business in Espoo Business School and graduated with a BSc in Marketing in 1988.

Ari Ketola’s career started as a sales representative for various fashion brands in the early 1990’s. In 1997 he was able to obtain the rights for Commercial Agent for Esprit brand in Finland. In the hands of Ketola, the brand started to grow rapidly in the late 1990´s and in 2005 the market share was already above 5% of the total fashion market in the region. In 2010 Ketola sold the business back to Esprit. The market share of the brand in the region was at that time a world record high, more than 7%. [1]

In 2009 Ketola founded Ductor with Mr. Veikko Latvala, a company focusing on securing sustainable food production in the world by turning bio waste to produce renewable energy and fertilizers, in order “to save the world” [reference]. In the first years of the company's existence, Ketola was consulting Helsinki University to establish understanding for the technological strategy to tackle the challenge. Ketola got interested in the system and the possibilities it might bring to food production and the new possibilities to create a strong and needed ecosystem. The company started to develop a system in which underutilized biomasses could be turned into fertilizer on a mass scale, thus making the use of chemical fertilizers unnecessary [reference]. In 2013, the development shifted to use a biogas plant as a platform for fertilizer production, still with the original methods, to turning bio waste into energy and the company started to grow.
